would juggling be easier to practise if you were travelling downwards in a lift?
me and my sister bought some juggling balls at a market and decided to try them out at home. it`s very difficult to do. after some thought, i was wondering if they would travel slower and make it easier to juggle them whilst going downwards in a lift. (not that we have access to a lift but just wondering) if only i could slow down gravity a bit until we improve.

- if you throw a ball up in a lift it will travel towards you slower, yes.
- As a juggler, I'd say ... only if it was going real fast - 'cos once you've got all 3 balls going you still need to know how to juggle - slow or not!
- In a lift you and the balls are travelling at the same speed (except for a momentary acceleration and later deceleration)and there will be no difference to your juggling skills. In a free falling lift however the problem will be that if you throw the balls up they won't come down - untill you hit the bottom of the shaft. I suggest a trip to the moon to hone your technique - 1/6 earth gravity means you will have more time to catch and throw.
- Theoretically it would, but you would need a long lift to keep it going long enough. The other problem would be that once you got out of the lift you woudl not be able to do it.
- go try it. the lift in the post office tower is the best i can think of
